Khayalethu Gardens – ultimate events, host management venue

Khayalethu Gardens is definitely an illusory feat, born out of determination, perseverance, illustrous vision and deep insight into the future of events and host management and botanical gardening acumen enhanced with flowery excellence. The Gardens are a generic cross of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and Eden. An artistic impression of plant life, deep in the heart of the city of Kwekwe, Midlands Province, Zimbabwe, a stone throw away from the city centre, Khayalethu Gardens is home of events and host management, catering for weddings, business and family meetings and parties and is an ideal venue for business meetings over a drink or snacks in the state of the art Bar and Restaurant.

“We are providing events management pedigree, which is unique and classy for weddings, parties and business meetings. This is an ideal venue which has its  own uniqueness, surrounded by our evergreen botanical gardens. We are still developing the gardens in order to make this place stand out as we also provide sanctuary to travelers out of Kwekwe”, said Angeline Kasipo, one of the proprietors of Khayalethu Gardens.

There are six spacious, vibey, novel and sizzling Guest lodges, some still under construction to cater for on the road business executives and travelers from outside Kwekwe, who seek a place of privacy, quietness and tranquillity laced with an exciting, nature enhanced atmosphere. The lodges will be open in the next three months  Outside braai facilities  which have become an instant  hit with many visitors and clients is also available. If you are not interested to be on the fire at the braai stand, the experienced braai masters are at your beck and call to assist you on the art of fire and meat Khayalethu Gardens is also the best place to be for families who enjoy outdoor excursions.

“We need financial stability as we cannot have access to any mortgage facilities from the banks. Our volumes in plants and flowers have gone downhill, as the economy sneezes and totter as the country is still recovering, as a result most people have no access to cash to buy let alone flowers and plants”, said Angeline Kasipo, who loves gardening.

As a business woman in the country, she urged other women who want to explore and venture into business to persevere and work harder until they achieve their goals. She is also a recently elected councilor in Kwekwe.

“Political space for women is shrinking in Zimbabwe.  Women have no access to resources. Politics is time consuming for most women, who have to juggle their time and attention between politics, as a housewife and business person. As an opposition politician, you need to think about your own safety and family.  You have to consult your partner first, before you go into politics. This is a major setback for most women who want to get into political leadership “, explained Kasipo.
