Blackman most preferred Kwekwe Central MP candidate-poll

Former ZANU PF  Kwekwe Central Member of Parliament, Masango Matambanadzo has led a poll survey conducted last week,  as the preferred Kwekwe Central Member of Parliament candidate. The survey which was conducted by some journalists in Kwekwe, proved that Blackman as he is popularly known is still a force to reckon with despite his booting out of ZANU PF on what he termed trump  up charges by his former handlers. The poll survey which was carried out in Kwekwe Central revealed that registered voters preferred to cast their vote in support of Blackman

“We don’t care whether Blackman  belongs to which political party, we will vote for him. He is our man, as he had people at heart.  Here in Amaveni he has helped a lot of people who would have fallen into hard times. He is approachable, compassionate and does  not consider one’s  political allegiance, he just consider  your problem and chips in with whatever he can do  He is the better of the Kwekwe Central Member of Parliament candidates”, declared a ZANUPF T shirt wearing self styled Ward Chairperson in Amaveni suburb.

Of the people interviewed in Wards in Amaveni, Globe and Phoenix Mine, Massa Park, Mbizo Extension and Old Mbizo,  60 percent expressed their interest in voting for Matambanadzo on 30 July  Two other candidates in the same race include Blessing Chebundo who fared 25 percent,  with Kandros Mugabe bagging in 15 percent of the poll survey. Chebundo, of  MDC Alliance  gunned some ‘votes’in Massa Park, whilst Kandros had most ‘votes’ in Massa Park and Mbizo Extension ‘ME’ section of Mbizo.

“Chebundo was imposed on us Party supporters.  He is not our candidate,  so we will not vote for him. Where was he all the time?  He just pitches up from the dark past. We will rather give Blackman the votes  Political parties should desist from imposing candidates on people. Independent candidates will fare well in the elections this year. Its quite an interesting race in Kwekwe central  “, said an MDC Alliance supporter at ME Shopping Center

Most women interviewed also sold their votes to Blackman citing his approachable character. It remains to be seen whether the opinion votes will be translated to real ballot votes on the voting day

“I will definitely vote for Matambanadzo. He is  the preferred candidate.  Kandros we  are only familiar with his mealie meal bags.  He had the money, but he is aloof  He is not man of the people  As for Chebundo, we are now hearing about him for the elections. He just pop up during elections and then goes into hiding He will be shocked this time around   People are voting for a person, bot the party”, said a  lady vendor at Old Mbizo
